ACT Network Query Applications

Eligible researchers granted access to the ACT network use two web applications: the web client and the Data Steward Application. Each institution in the network grants it's own researchers access to the web client and Data Steward Application. Contact your institution's Data Steward to get started.

Data Steward Application (DSA)

Prior to using the web client to query the ACT network, eligible researchers must first declare their query topic (research intent) to their local Data Steward using the Data Steward Application (DSA). Your local Data Steward will use this same application to monitor your queries to ensure that they match your query topic. To familiarize yourself with the DSA, download the DSA user help file

Web Client

The SHRINE web client is the query interface for the ACT network. After declaring their query topic using the Data Steward Application (below), researchers may construct and execute queries and get aggregate patient counts from across the network. To familiarize yourself with the web client, download the web client user help file.
